Is the advisor in your dream someone who has an authoritative position in waking life, such as a parent, a boss or a police officer? If so, the quality of the advice can be a sign of how you feel about authority. If you are given good advice in your dream, it can mean that you tend to accept authority. If the advice is bad, it can mean that you are more likely to question authority.
