Like I said, not everyone has this ability naturally. Or should I say, naturally able to have consciousness during these events. People train themselves NOT to have the ability, but rather to get your brain to remember the events of the natural ability that we all have...That is the trick. You have to think of your physical body and etheric body being 2 exact copies of yourself (memories, thoughts, etc) living and doing 2 different things at the same time during an OBE. When this happens, your physical brain can only imprint ONE memory for ONE moment in time. So if you don't have consciousness in the etheric body (which is what people like me train to do), then the experience that you will remember for that moment in time will be the memories of the physical body. Thus forgetting the OBE all together and only remembering the jarring unstable energy battle in your physical body.

The book that I recommended will explain things far better than I ever could. And yes, it is frightening. I have had many experiences like this. But once I knew what it was and understood how to use it, after a while when it happened to me I would get EXCITED because I knew what was going to happen next. Fear is only an emotion of the unknown. Once you understand what it is, there is no reason to still be scared unless you choose to be. At least that is how I feel. There are very few things that I fear in psychic experiences and/or dreams. Guess it's all perception of the person.
