Hello babydreamer and welcome.

I don't think the dream dictionary definition of babies fits your experience, dream dictionaries are only a guide for general symbolism anyway; usually helpful for a dream that pops out of nowhere that you've never had before... I think it's great that you feel the vibe of your dreams sometimes, not everyone does that, because it shows a deep connection with your unconscious; something that no one fully understands yet, perhaps we never will?
There doesn't always have to be a meaning in a dream, though there often is; the child/children in your dreams could be real, from the past, maybe from the future (this is very rare I think), or some kind of spiritual force that follows you around and appears in your dreams. I don't know if this all sounds like nonsense or not, but that's the way dreams sound sometimes when you try and explain them in waking life. I also have people that I see only in dreams, there's one mentioned on
THIS PAGE that used to only appear in lucid dreams and some OBEs; and others that seemed so close to me that I couldn't believe I might not see them again when I woke up.
Anyway, dream dictionaries and interpretations aside; two things are for certain, there's no such thing as a weird/strange dream (as dreams are that by their very nature) and talking about them with friends (the understanding ones) and/or people that have similar experiences always helps. I also think talking about our dreams sends a message to our brains that we'd like to understand them better and sometimes forces the dreams to become more clear.
