Default The meaning of life

Here is one of my brainstormings. I hope you think this is as fun reading as I found it fun writing it and I hope you take your time like I did. If you read it please respond, let me know what you think. Also, some things I say like they are facts but remember nothing in this post is a fact, it is more like my opinion.

Just yesterday I had this short dream about being a spirit, and living on. Not that this was really a dream, it was more like, my mind combining and repeating thoughts and images I had that day; I had watched a show that day for 6 year old with cartoons and I had this silly thought of them never dying. In a 60 years the cartoons will be the same age, length, etc. I wished I could live forever.

That is what belief and faith is perhaps subconciously about, in people's minds, often without them knowing or accepting it. When people - think that they? - evoke spirits (or try), isn't there actually a hope to get just 1 question answered? Do we really die, or do we truly live forever? Why do we want to live forever? Why does the urge to answer that question or to get that question answered grows and grows as we grow older? Is it because when we are young we know we can still do many things and when we grow older we look back and think we could have done many things but let those things pass by while we could have grasped for it, but we didn't, and it is now out of reach or seems out of reach? Or do want to know if we live forever because we then know that the ones we love are still there? Still supporting us in some everyday struggles?

So then I thought, maybe, just maybe the answer is that we truly regret not having done things. What things did we want to do? What is so important in life we feel like we didn't achieve?

I thought about that last night. What do we want to achieve. What do I want to achieve in life? What is the most important thing in life? Something we all want.

I had made these 4 catagories, which I think are the answer to that.

The most important things in life:
1. Happiness
2. Health
3. Relationships
4. The three basic needs (food/water, a roof, safety)

Health sounds logical. You would like to be healthy. Some things aren't preventable. Eating healthy can prevent much however. Never to late to start eating healthy.

Happiness might sound a bit vague. Let me explain:

1. Happines.
I looked back at the word happines, thinking - happiness is such a ... general understanding to put it that way - if there is any other way - so when are we happy? How can we ever find happiness ourselves if we can't define it right ourselves? Is there such a thing as happiness, or is there just good acting by those who claim to have it? And if happiness excists, then how do we obtain it? Do we find it, earn it, learn it, recieve it or buy it, or do we have to pretend to have it to, wel.....have it.

So again while I was brainstorming I thought about the answer to that, for myself. Here it is:
I think happiness can be obtained in your reality. Dreams hold dissapointment and if you're living a nightmare you will never be happy, but you of course knew that. You need to find the average of that. Dreams + Nightmares = reality, like 100 + 0 = 50.
When you think about it, there is no such thing as one, single reality. The reality of someone who is rich is a differend one than the reality of someone who is poor, yet it is both 50 when you think about it. I mean it is both a reality so with the poor person it is 100 + 0 = 50 and with the rich person it is EXACTLY that. So that in a summery means that money changes nothing to your reality. Lots of money or no money, still it is 50. Married or not married it is still 50. Children or no children it is still ... - well you can fill in the rest - so why do we look up to other realitys? Why does the poor person look at the rich person wishing they could have their reality? Now that last question will sound completly rediculous to the poor person yet perhaps logical to the richer ones.

That also answers the question to as why people that live their dreams or follow their dreams lose track of reality. They let go of the 50 and go to the 100. They lose the ballance that creates happiness. In fact, they could reach the nightmare level if they get depressed in their quest to find happiness in the 100, where it isn't found. They fall back heading for the 0.

Sorry if my brainstorming is getting somewhat complicated.

So I thought about this question that will proove to only you if you're happy. Answer with full honesty. Now if you haven't read the rest but just answer the question you won't know what I mean so please read my opinion about reality.

Look around the room. Your current reality, with everything on it and everything in it, would you like to live that for the rest of your life if there would be no heavon, hell or anything like that?

If the answer is yes, then you are truly happy. If the answer is no, it can still become a yes if get this bug out of your mind;
Don't greeve for what you don't have.
That includes everything, what you should have had, almost had, wanted to have, want to have, could have had, could maybe once have - etc.

Also I think money, materialistic things, status, fame, etc are all things to keep us away from the above 3 things that are truly important.
