ElizVanZee is on the dream path to enlightenment

The travel in this dream has actually been referred to as “a trip”. This suggests that the rationale or philosophy being used (the car) may be associated with the idea of “an ego trip” – the idea of catering to the needs of one’s ego. You have provided yourself with an idea that will help you find your way in an unfamiliar subject area (maps) but the courses of action that have been indicated (the streets) have no real significance or importance. (no names on any of them)

There is an aspect of your mind (represented as father) which you have chosen to honour. (buy father a birthday present). Father can represent a way of thinking representing old opinions which may have given great comfort and protection when you were younger and less knowledgeable. He can also suggest thoughts pertaining to father, himself. Here this honour or recognition appears to come a bit late (birthday long past) and may not really do your mind justice (as the present seems very inappropriate since father does not play pool) The billiard balls can imply giving your mind the idea that feminine nature or emotions can be abused by males (as these balls are designed to be hit with a pool cue) The balls might also simply represent the idea of “having a ball” – having a good time.

As you stopped to buy these balls, it can suggests that you momentarily ceased using a rational way of thinking when buying the balls, i.e. when accepting the idea these balls can represent. After accepting the idea these balls represent you no longer feel quite so comfortable with the rationale being used (started driving again – felt comfortable at first but …) especially when realizing that you do not know where you are at in life (wasn’t sure where I was). The sense of being lost can imply simply having lost the way; lost a feeling of being directed or guided. A point noted is that the course of action being taken or followed allows for no opposing way of thinking. (the street became one-way)

When ceasing to use rational thinking (I was out of my car) you end up in a situation where nothing makes any sense (in a crazy place) and where instinctive feelings abound (wild animals all around). The wild animals would represent untamed emotions belonging to your own emotional nature which could be a danger to your human ability to think rationally. You have perhaps become too closely in touch with such emotions. (very scared because they were walking right around me)
