It could either mean that you want him to be closer to you, inside your house/inside your mind (houses usually represent your inner self), or it could just represent that he is inside your thoughts all the time, which I guess he is from what you say. I think it's more likely the first though.

The death part of it doesn't have to be about actual death, but more the death of your younger self, your inhibitions and shyness perhaps.
You could also factor in
Plants in Dreams if you like, I think it all adds to the same thing about you being in love with someone and/or wanting to grow beyond your current self.
Honestly though, try not to spend too much of your life worrying about your dreams, they aren't there to drive you nuts, even though it seems like it sometimes.
