Damn, that's pretty good.

For starters, I didn't make the connection before, but me and a friend were having a frank sexual discussion the day before the dream. It included the topic about right wing conservative politicians who engage in all sorts of sexual depravity, and yet try to legislate morality. This is a big and on-going problem here in the U.S. There have been many sex scandals involving everything from initiated sex by male congressman to male pages that exposed emails where he asks the page about the size of his member--to a famous right wing pundit (Bill O'Reilly) who was caught and paid a settlement for sexual harassment of a female producer. He bragged about the size of his penis and told her he used dildos to pleasure himself while talking to her on the phone.

That may have inspired the dream. As for the dope, I tried it once when I was 17 and didn't like it. I feel I tried it in the dream as a means of escape. I also heard a radio interview with a film maker who said that heroine use in the military was getting bad because the soldiers were bored, frustrated because of their long tours of duty, and just plain frightened and use it for bravado and escape.

So yeah, it's all about the things you said. Thanks. I didn't make that connection before. In my waking life, I'm fine with my sex life and don't crave dope, so I think my concerns with society and what I'm exposing myself to are playing a part in my dreams.
