I wonder if anyone has ever experienced something similar or has known someone with a similar experience.


Three years a go my dad passed away, for those last few years my mom has a cardinal (bird) keeps knocking on her patio door everyday sometimes once, twice or more. This bird would go away for a day or two then it comes back. She would close the curtains or move the screen door no matter and the bird would move to the other side of the door.

I know this bird See's its reflection but for two years summer, winter and fall ?

It appears to be territorial behaviour.

I think the cardinal has decided that the area around your mom's window is its territory.
