Yeah, it's the batsuit and gadgets that give him superhero status. In one scene from The Dark Knight, Batman gets attacked by rottweilers. As Bruce Wayne, we see Alfred tending to his wounds. He requests stronger armor in his suit in case he comes in contact with them again. He does. The suit holds out.
I bought the DVD the other day. It's a very long movie, I thought it would never end because I read the box wrong - I thought it said 1hr 45mins but it said 145mins, I like it though.
I first saw it in the theater and when it was over, I thought, Wow! that was a long movie, but it seemed to go so quick. The first captured screen shot I posted was from one of my favorite scenes---Hit me!
I agree, it's definitely a well-made movie, it's nice when they get these comic book movies right, and a tragedy when they don't. Have you seen Ironman by the way? I think that's pretty good too, and it also features a normal guy using technology instead of superpowers - I think my life is taking a u-turn on the whole superpower thing.
