I'm not a DC Comics fan, but I went to see The Dark Knight over the weekend. I heard a lot of things about it, how good it was and about some parallels it contained to our (the U.S.) current government.

I didn't care much for the ending, but that may be resolved in another in another film. The highlight for me was the performance of Heath Ledger as The Joker. So even if you're not a Batman fan like me, you'll like this film. It's dark and scary, but very entertaining and engrossing.

I used to like Batman as a kid, but as I grew up and realized he doesn't have any special powers like the other heroes I think I sort of went off him. I was thinking though that this latest movie might be pretty good, I like that actor in Equilibrium.

Do you mean Christian Bale? He played Bruce Wayne/Batman. For some reason, in this film, he lowers his voice and it's kinda growly when he's Batman, but not as himself/Wayne. I assume it's to avoid recognition, but I don't think the other Batman's did that.
