Chris Nelson was told by doctors that she would only live for a maximum of two more years near the end of 2002, after being diagnosed with bone cancer that had spread from her breast cancer. During the summer of 2003 Chris, who is 57 years old, decide to consult a specialist in London who prescribed an in-depth course of complimentary medicine and therapy consisting, initially, of around 200 pills; plus a super-healthy diet and regular enemas and injections, giving her dozens of minerals, vitamins and other natural substances from around the world – Chris decided to take the London specialist’s advice but to stick with her York doctor’s prescription of conventional drugs too, she has to keep a daily diary of her medicine to keep on top of it:

Chris has been feeling better for quite a while now, but was nevertheless shocked when her oncologist said that her condition was now considered chronic, rather than terminal.
“I was stunned. It was incredible.” She said.

Chris wants to make it clear that she has not been cured, that she wont know the full extent of her condition until she goes for her next scan in a few weeks; her oncologist, professor David Dodwell, says his views on complementary medicine are neutral, the cancer is not curable but seems to be “relatively quiescent.” But he stresses the importance of conventional hormone therapy.
