The latest therapy craze in Spain is apparently smashing up mobile/cell phones, computers, TVs and cars with big hammers; people are paying around 40 quid/$74 to go into junkyards and smash the hell out of windows and TV screens and come out feeling relaxed, it’s said that the release of tension stays with you for up to two weeks. Frustrated teenagers cottoned on to this idea ages ago with their fondness for vandalizing stuff…but it may be more therapeutic as you get older to smash the things in your life that cause you the most stress, like mobile phones, the TV if you have kids (and partners) always arguing about it, cars with their enormous repair bills and insurance costs – and of course the all time biggest stress causer of modern living, the PC; for which an increasing number of faults are caused by physical damage due to an attack of PC rage, often resulting in the offending equipment being thrown out of office windows…
