Hello, My name is Scarb, what you are about to read is a true account of what I experienced some weeks ago...

It was dusk as I approached the steps of the church. I had decided to go there to be at one with myself. Not somewhere I would normally go, but you know when you are having a really bad day and you are looking to find the point of it all. Well, anyway as I reached the steps, there was a man hanging around,looked like he was waiting to go in. I was hoping to have the place to myself, so I decided to walk round the block, willing him to buggar off by the time I got. Only, when I returned 20 minutes later, there he was laying on the ground, obviously, not at all well. I shook him, asking him if he was all right. He grabbed hold of my arm and tried to lift his head up indicating with his eyes toward a woman standing outside a house on the other side of the street. She looked weird, just staring like a idiot I looked at her, then back at the man...

...he had let go of my arm, head flat on the floor, eyes and mouth wide open.'What!' I said to him.He didnt move, I shook him, 'Hello, can you hear me?' I looked in the direction of the woman. She was beckening me to go to her, beckening and turning toward the door of the house she was standing outside. I couldnt see her face. It was dark now, there was one of those new type of street lights on the corner, about 20 metres away but it was still shining orange...hadnt come on properly yet.
Knelt beside the man, I started to get to my feet, jeez.. he grabbed my arm again and I fell to my knees. Just as quick he let go, he gave an almighy croak and was still. Dead, most definately? All I could was to call an ambulance. I looked to the woman for help, she'd gone. I dialled 999 on my mobile, the operator said the hospital was closed and put the phone down on me. I tried again..no reply..again, no reply I ran to the nearest phone box, thought my mobile may have been out of order, at first I thought the phone had been vandalized but it hadnt. I pressed 999 a womans voice said 'I told you you arsehole the hospital is closed' before I could answer she said 'Why didnt you come when I waved to you'. Shit,I thought I was cracking up. I ran back towards the man. Strange, as I ran, I thought of the croaking noise the guy made, and wondered if thats how that saying came about. When I reached the church the guy had gone. I looked all around, not a soul in sight (no pun intended). I looked across to the house. There she was, the woman, staring out of the upstairs window and...beckening. I couldnt make any sense of it all. I took a deep breath, shaking my head, I glanced down at the floor and there, laying just by the gatepost was a small object the size of a bar of soap. I stooped to look closer, the pavement started moving like the waves of the sea. Everything started to fade away. No no no I cant be dying...I was falling towards the object, the pavement was still rocking. My strength was leaving me...and then the object it was...

great stuff! Watch out for little typos though; 'All I could do was call an ambulance.' makes more sense. Having said that, seeing as the guy is speaking he can say anything he wants; so you might want to leave as it is if it's some kind of character flaw.

a thing that had a voice it said...( This happened you know) Dont see that woman at the house, dont even look at her...I looked...and then she kept on beckening me..

I was going to go towards the house, and then a men was there, right in front of me. He said 'Dont bother going to the house'I asked him 'why,because there was a man here and I think he is very ill.' The man told me to go home and forget what I had seen. At this stage I thought 'Better I go' but then I looked at the house and the woman was there, holding her hand open to me, seemed like she was begging me t o go to her. What should I do...Foolish yes, I know, but I followed her, in to the house. When I got inside I couldnt believe my eyes, there right in front of me was the most horrendous sight I had ever seen. Strange as it may seem I remained composed. I asked the womam 'What is this?' she smiled at me and started to talk. I couldnt understand what she was saying. Lots of people were there. Seemed like they had come from nowhere, they were all making funny noises. Lord have mercy, what should I do? What about the bodies/people that were there and then...

That's the kind of thing I mean, but because it's written in the first person. I.e. someone is speaking to the reader, they can say anything they want; Scarb could be a foreigner or something, part of his character flaw...
