Hey Everyone

For months now my boyfriend has been plagued by dreams of me cheating on him, and him always catching me in the act. The person who I'm cheating with changes all the time. Sometimes it's my boss, his coach, his step-father, my highschool teacher; sometimes it's a whole string of them. I asked him what position it was in, thinking that if it were something degrading like from behind then it might be his subconscious telling him that he thinks that these people don't respect me, but he said it was missionary position. He has also said that in some of the dreams I am laughing at him.

I have never cheated on him, or even been in a situation where it seemed like I did. This is really taking a toll on our relationship because every time he goes to sleep he sees me with other men and he has a hard time getting over that when he wakes up.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what these could mean?

It's possible that your boyfriend is just very insecure and possessive and just doesn't trust you around other men, or other men around you.

It's also possible that the men in the dream represent aspects of his or your personality. It's interesting that all of the men you cheat with in the dream represent authority figures. Perhaps he has concerns about the level of authority and control you have or he has in the relationship.

I think the fact that a dream that he had - it's not as though you were fantasizing about these men - is causing him to have doubts about the relationship is a bit worrying.

It's normal and healthy to dream about people having sex with people they wouldn't be with in waking life.
