I have been having this continuing dream for the past 2 weeks and I would really like it if someone could tell me what it means...

So i am driving home from work on a snowy saturday night and on my way home I get hit on the driver side of my car. I end up in the hospital with a broken left arm, three broken ribs, my face cut abd brusied and every ligament in my left leg is torn. My ex boyfreind (whom is still a good friend and whom I am still in love with) Vince calls me and i tell him what happens. He insisted on coming to the hospital to visit me but i tell him not to cause I don't want him to see me looking like I looked. so the next morning Vince ends up showing up in the hospital and he tells me he dont care what i look like he just wants to see me. After that he comes up every chance he gets to spend the day with me.
A couple days later I am transferred to a rehab center to start therapy and he is also there for me to. Sometime he even goes to my house to pick up my son, Nioclas, to bring him to see me. When he comes up he spends the day there going to therapy with me and helping the nurses with me. When its time for me to be discharged home, I get home and he is there. He helps me with my son, helps me clean, shower, anything i need help with he is there.

everynight i have this fream it starts from the begining and gets a little farther each night.... Someone help what does it mean?

You work and are raising a child? Then perhaps the dream is a wish fulfillment dream. You wish someone was there to lighten the load, to lend a helping hand or just take care of you for a while. You need to be taken care of for a while instead of being the one taking care of others.

That does make sense but why my ex and why is it a continuing dream?
I havent talk to him in two years then we start talking again and all the sudden i have this dream. Ever since i had my son i have felt like i wanted someone there but why him?
