Could the fact that this will be the 10 year anniversary of his leaving you may be causing you to think about him more and wonder about the possibility of your getting back together more?

Sometimes anniversaries can cause us to reflect on things and think about what we want - for example, in the year that people turn 40 or 50, they often reflect on what they have done in their lives they want for their futures.

Have you had any contact with your ex husband since he left you, or do you know people who have? Would you have any reason to think that something has changed in his life?

10 years is a long time; it's possible for anyone to go through a lot of changes in that time.

Thank you so much for trying to help me. The thing is I havent thought of him in awhile and that night he never crossed my mind. But what you are saying makes since. Yes, we have talked on the phone but that was back in 2005 I believe. I am not sure where he is now, no contact. I just can't see why I still love him so much after so much time. In the dream, it was so Vivid, it was the 1st one like it at all, in the others, it was more like a visit or something. no touching, he wasnt happy to see me and in this last dream he was so HAPPY to see me and of course I felt the same, I was in tears when I woke up and saw it was only a dream. I hope it means something good

Maybe it's been so long that you remember more of the good things about the relationship than the bad things.

Thank you so much for your Kindness. Here is the thing though; I have always felt him leaving was my fault therefore I never get any closure. In my lifetime, very few maybe only one more time (guy was married) did someone leave me. I was always the one giving 150% until there was nothing left and no crying to do. So a couple nights before Christmas, we were supposed to leave to meet my sister in Vegas and he canceled on me. I got mad and decided I was going anyway. It was the stupidest thing I have ever done! I took all the presents and most of the money, I remember back seeing him removing pictures from one of our photo albums while I was soooooooo mad but I could not see this that night. It was crazy. So next morning I left for Vegas with my daughter and was gone 4 days, upon returning he was gone. So as far as memories go, I do ting a lot of the good when I think of him but again, this was my fault. thank you again, Lisa

Have you seen a counselor or someone similar to help you deal with the feelings of guilt you have been carrying around for so long?

No I guess I havent but I have dated others over the years, looking for what can never seem to be found, love. I dont know, I may need to know what is happening in his life before I can, I guess one of 2 things need to happen, closure or we resume our relationship.
