Ever since i separated from my wife over two years ago, i have been having dreams about another married friend. Over the last few years, our friendship has grown and my relationship with her, her husband and her young son is quite close.

In real life, i find her very attractive, and she has a lot of the traits i look for in a partner. We seem to have a connection, and find it really easy to talk to each other.

In the dreams, she appears as a love interest, and it is always a nice experience, during and also after the dream. Often, i am helping her get away from danger. The last couple of times, it has been a bit more sexual.

Could it be that i am using the image of my friend as a proxy for the future partner that i yearn for?
