I'm married now but I used to be signed up to a few, it was useful to me when I was on my own a few years ago to have people to talk to. Even if nothing comes of any of it it's good to make new friends, even if they are virtual ones. In fact virtual friends can often have advantages I think because they don't judge you on the same merits as people that see you face to face every day.
