Could someone help me please? I had this dream which felt as if I was really awake. I was aware of my surroundings, being in my bedroom laying on my bed when I heard my ex whisper I will always love you. I then felt him stroke my hair and kiss my head. I jumped suddenely awake looking around my room but he wasn't there. In the place where he kissed my head, I could still feel the warmth of his touch.

When he left a year and a half ago he said, "don't you know that I would die for you". Then 6 months later he admitted that he thought he would always love me even though he was with someone else. What I would like to know is was this an astral projection or a wish dream? Is it really possible to feel another person touching you in your dreams, because it has been happening alot lately where I can feel him kissing me or stroking my hair.

People often have hallucinatory experiences in the state between sleeping and waking, either just before they fall asleep or just before they wake up.

It is also common for people to have very vivid dreams in which many different senses are employed - touch, hearing, smell, taste, etc.

I wouldn't make any decisions about your relationship with this man based upon this dream/experience, especially since you said he left you for someone else.
