Default Lucid Dreaming

Any tips, tricks or sure-fire methods of inducing lucid dreaming? I've had many episodes of sleep paralysis but have never been able to segue into a lucid dream. Any information would be great. Thanks.

From my own experience, I've read articles and even a famous book about the subject but I've only gone lucid when I didn't try to control it. It just happened. I became aware in the dream that I was dreaming and it's only happened a few times.

I've had moments when I've been on the verge of waking up and was semi-lucid, but only a few times has it occurred in the classic sense within the middle of a dream.

I do it a lot, practically every night, but like sweet slumber I don't actually know how exactly. One thing you could try though is writing a special lucid dreaming journal, charting your efforts to become lucid in your dreams. Even if it doesn't happen you can write that you were thinking about it before you went to sleep, then write down whatever dreams you had when you wake up and if you think you were lucid in any or not. If you keep doing this over and again it might just tell your brain that it's important to you, which might make it happen.

Default Pull your finger or jump in the air

Sounds nutty but throughout the day just jump in the air, a little hop, or pull your finger. You have to do this several times a day, like 100 or more. Then in the dream state you continue to do this only your finger will stretch and you will experience anti gravity when you jump up. Then you will enter the lucid dream, and maybe even an outright OBE>
It has worked for me.

Well i've never done both at the same time. When I have Lucid dreams I usually realise I dreaming when I do something stupid in them and then i'm like Oh thank god I'm dreaming! So before you go to sleep think of you making a fool of yourself? haha.

Default It's sad... haha

I've never had a lucid dream in my life. Do you get to choose what you do, or do you just watch?

Well, because you know you're dreaming you get to choose what you do up to a point - just like when you're awake.
