I think the first one is really dream-like, sort of a modern version of Salvador Dali's films: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ2CIl0hdiY - the bit with the eye still makes me cringe.

Not sure about the second one though, it looks a lot like the countryside around where I live, if you go out of town.

I went to art college about 16 years ago and went through a Dali period myself. I studied him quite a lot; paintings, sculptures, films and the man himself. I think he still is one of my favourite people of all time.
