Default does anyone else have epic dreams?

I often have dreams that are like epic films; sometimes they continue over a number of nights, sometimes years... does anyone else get these?

I sometimes have deja vu when it comes to dreams. I can't be sure if it is the same dream over a series of nights or just the one night.

I get that a lot; some dreams I've had so often I know what's going to happen next and actively avoid the next scene because I'm sick of it; or decide to skip to a part further along so I don't have to go through the motions of killing the bad guy, flying a long distance or getting to know someone etc. I even go to sleep some nights with the intention of carrying on a dream from the night before

I can sometimes rationalise my dreams and stop them. By this I mean I know that I'm dreaming.
I know that the situation I am in is not real. I think, I'm lying down? The answer is yes. Therefore I must be in bed asleep. Often I then go into another dream. If I try to control them I wakeup.

I do tend to dream about my father alot, he's been dead six years.

I have to do the rationalising thing when I'm lucid dreaming in the morning if it turns into an Out of Body experience. I usually start by jumping out of the window but I always check I'm not actually awake first by doing something impossible like floating up to the ceiling. When I am really awake there is no doubt that I am, but when I'm lucid dreaming I'm not always sure

last one was me, forgot to log on. BTW, my dad died about six years ago too; in fact loads of relatives died within a few years so that my family shrank enormously. It's starting to grow again now that my brother and sister-in-law had a baby 3 years ago and are expecting another in a couple of months.

I do sometimes have dreams with different dead relatives in; for some reason one of my grandmas is always trying to annoy me but I always laugh at her. This grandma and her husband both died close together, both 85 years old, and my mother and I redecorated their house soon after to make it look younger. Just after that I had a lucid dream in the morning and asked my grandad what he thought of the new paint; whether he was upset that we changed all his life's work, he just laughed and said he wished he'd painted it like that himself. My grandma used to go to church a lot so I asked her if she could tell me about the afterlife and God etc, she shook her head and laughed at me like I was an idiot and they both faded away with her laughter following. Bloody typical of her to make me wait till I die to find out, just because she had to!

I often dream that I can fly but I have to really make an effort to get off the ground; struggling to get into the air. Once I'm there and flying, the longer I do it the easier it is. I like to place myself high in the corners of whichever room I'm in

Sometimes I wake up and think, for about a nanosecond, that I still know the secret of being able to fly. Something to do with swimming through molocules; but then I realise it's not possible
