Default I didn't like this dream

Last night I had a dream that my sister-in-law lost her baby (she is 30+ weeks pregnant, due in early May - she is married to my brother). In my dream, she was only about 19 weeks pregnant when she suddenly lost the baby. I think my Mum told me that the baby had passed away but she didn't give me any other details. I can't remember if she phoned me or if she told me in person (my parents live in another town) I was very upset but nobody else seemed to be. I told one person and they showed very little emotion (Im not sure who that person was). This made me even more upset. I also remember telling my boss that I no longer needed my holidays in May because my sister-in-law had lost the baby (I have booked holidays in May to visit my brother and his wife after the baby is born) What does this dream mean?? My sister-in-law hasn't had any problems with her pregnancy so far. This is her first child. This dream was so vivid and I remember feeling a great sense of loss, even though my brother and his wife don't live close by and I don't get to see them very often.

I don't think it means anything bad is going to happen, but more that it's just a natural human reflection of your concerns. It's a big event in your life and our subconscious often tries out different scenarios in our dreams at such time - both positive and negative.

The parts of the dream where you get little information and little emotional response is most likely related to some other situation other than the actual pregnancy.

Aren't you the one that mentioned you got a new job recently? Sometimes pregnancy in dreams refers to something new in your life, such as a job. Do you feel you are getting enough support and info you need to do the job?

Yes I did start a new job recently. I started there on Wednesday. I actually had this dream a few days before I started my new job. Maybe I had the dream because I was leaving my last job which I had been in for over 3 years. Lots of people were sad to see me go but they understood because the new job has better conditions. I didn't change careers, just workplaces. I have only been there for three days but I think it will be good, as I get familiar with my other colleagues.
