this dream breaks off into two parts....
Part. 1
ok so the dream started with me and some of my family driving in the car. my dad was at the wheel and he was being sarcastic and cynical as usual. i didn't like it, but he kept on trying to blame me for all thats happend between us. we stopped somewhere i cant really recall where, and when we (the passangers) came back my dad had droven off without us. soo after we found out he was in a car accident. he had died. but the strange thing is when they found him he was a skelliton, bleached white. we went to a funeral and while the man was speaking he made a very bad joke about how he was found. every one around me was laughing i did not get it. later in the dream my mom then had a close encounter and was now in the hospital half dead.

Part 2. i was now at a festival, at night. it was very midevil themed. i was watching from far above when a play started. i soon decided to go down to have a better look when i myself got caught up in the festivities and found my self wearing a cheatah get up and even did a little acting. but it soon grew bad when we realized that a group of several young teens had wondered off into this woods like portal. we knew we had to save them and the person in charge would be the one to do it. he said that he wouldn't so we got mad and said we would ourselves. but then a smoke like fog covered our sight of him. he reapeared with these very realistic looking dragons. there was a tree serpent, a giant fat dragon that spoke and it was chilling to hear its voice. then a sky dragon, and a land serpent that was blind but able to smell fear. we were all greatfull that they wern't the real things and became discouraged. they had to be saved...but it could of been easily that they were already dead. then this is were i wake up.

this all scared me very much.....what do you think it means?

In the first part of the dream, the skeleton could represent what is missing. The meat, or "heart of the matter" in gone. You describe your dad's behavior as cynical and sarcastic "as usual." You may have a desire for a more substantial relationship with him, but he acts like a jerk. This could be a defense mechanism on his part to avoid getting close to people. Maybe this is why you saw him as a skeleton. A human being lacking, in this case meaningful emotion.

The second part of the dream is about fantasy and escape. You attempt to see through smoke like fog. This could represent something that is not clear to you---a situation, relationship? The dragons represent things that you feel you must conquor, or slay. It could be fear or a bad habit. The portal's are the things to escape through. What do you suppose was on the other end of that portal?
