Last night I had this dream that I was at the beach and there were a couple of small snakes twirling around in the sand. I saw one near my foot and I tried to bury it in the sand.

Then I was at work, and there was a dark green snake with black stripes and a rattle-snake tail. I told everyone about it but told them not to go near it in case it got aggressive. Everyone started provoking it and crowding around it, but I stayed away. It got angry and came straight for me and bit me on the arm.

I called 000 to get an ambulance, and there was a long voice recording then a woman finally answered and was trying to have a lesiurely chat with me. Finally she sent an 'ambulance' which turned out to be an old 4wd with an old man driving it. He took me to this dodgy old house in my town, as the hospital was closed as it was 'after hours'.. There was a home-made sign out the front that had a woman's name and 'doctor' on it.

We went inside and there were loads of people, all disabled either mentally or physically. The 'doctor' looked at my arm, and I was looking at it too and could see the two puncture marks, and she said it was fine and not to worry but it was really aching. Then it turned out it was someone's birthday so I sat in this house eating birthday cake with all of these people. As I sat there I could see the bite marks getting smaller and the swelling went down a bit.

Then I went to leave, and as I was walking out I saw my boyfriend over the road getting into his car as he was off to work, and I waved but he didn't see me and just drove off..

What a crazy dream, any ideas what it all means?

I have a few ideas.

The part about burying the snake in the sand could be a metaphor for trying to bury something that has the qualities of a snake. In dreams, burying something means hiding it away in your subconscious.

The part where your co-workers don't heed your advice could represent how you feel others see you or treat you. Do you often feel overlooked or ignored? Your boyfriend does this. Does he in reality?

The part where the snake bites could represent a fear of getting blamed for others mistakes.

The "hospital" could represent a contrast to how things are and how you want them to be. Do other's work seem shoddy or substandard to you?

The birthday cake and celebration helps heal you. Perhaps you need some rest and relaxation.
