Hi, this is my sisters dreams and we would like an interpretation of them.

She gets up to go to the bathroom and when she gets into the bathroom and pulls back her shower curtain there is a shaggy blue rug that is soaked with water and the windows in there was frosted. There was a cop radio on the outside of the window. Then she walked into a courtroom, Everyones back was to her and she looks over and sees a blond lady. She turns her around and asks her who she was and she starts to fade into an old woman with no face. Then she starts to yell she is looking for "Corey Lucas Kearns" (i would like to point out that at this time she can hear her own voice as if it is really coming from her as she sleeps. Not the normal speaking in a dream but as if she were awake and talking to me.) and she ends up in this water, and this little boy comes out. She says no, Corey Lucas Kearns was born june 30th 1981 and he comes out of the water and she remembers watching his face and being so excited as she watched him come out of the water.He is wearing the suit she had chosen for him for his graduation from college. They embraced and kissed and told eachother how much they missed eachother then he stood up and began to swam away and she follows him but she loses track of him and he keeps going. Then it switches to where she is with me and our mother and I told her that Liz (corey's mother) put it in John's hope chest and locked it and took the key. And then she asked if we could break into it and she wakes up.

This seems like a plot right out of a ghost story. Is Corey a ghost? And what is in the hope chest that you'd like to get out?

ok Yes Corey is dead so he would be a ghost. As for the chest we are not sure what is supposed to have been hidden in there.

The thing hidden in the hope chest could be a fear that is plaguing the subconscious. The scenes with water as a negative suggests this. Did the boy drown? Does your sister have a fear of water or drowning?

ok not sure how you would think this to be a negative thing. Water is supposed to be life, so I am not thinking she felt anything negative with it. And she just told me that the outfit she had picked out for his graduation was what was locked in the hope chest and his mom took the key so she is the one trying to keep it from my sister. So we are trying to figure out why. She just told me about the outfit so I was the one who was not sure what was in the chest but she is more sure.

What I get from the dream in reading it a second time is a sense of longing for the past and having to overcome barriars and obstacles in the present. These obstacles could be responsiblities that she feels are keeping her from persuing things she wants to do.

I don't know if this is the same Corey Lucas Kerns, but he was born on the same date. I Only looked up Corey Kerns, and I was surprised to get Lucas as the middle name. It probably doesnt help, but I thought you should know.
