So I've been going through some serious problems which involve both my career and personal life, all mixed together into one huge clusterf*** (which by the way is the reason why you don't mix family and business..)
(Trying to make this as non-personal as I can), After basically reaching my lowest point on all spectrums, I went to someone for help... and told my grandfather I was on crack.... (yes its out there... I know...). This however sparked my family to find out whats going on with me and actually got me to speak to my mother (though very briefly) again. This has thrown me into a deep depression.

So the dream...

Me and my mother are sitting in the livingroom at the house we lived at 4 years ago... which you could view the ocean over - we were on a high hill... A dark cloud formed and it slowly formed into a tornado... (its weird because Tornado's are extremely.. .EXTREMELY rare where I am) and I look at my mother and say "is that a tornado!? And before we can act, it quickly went through the neighborhoods, and litterally grabbed my mother by the head and was trying to take her... So I pulling and screaming for my stepfather (who I'm not quite fond of to say the least) and he's no where to be seen... so I'm about to lose her and at the last moment I grab her by her shoulders and get her in... I immediately of course wake up screaming...

I've looked up the tornado dream, but the pulling in my mother and saving her from it throws me... is it deeper then serious problems in my life?

Storms are a good metaphor for what is raging inside you. Do you feel you are being "twisted" in opposite directions? Do you feel "swept up" in your families dramas?

Perhaps you would like a more stable relationship with your mother, but other family issues keep coming in. In the dream, your stepfather is not there when your mother and you are caught in the storm. If this were real life, would that be a good thing--to not have him there?
