I take Elavil for Migraines and insomnia, but nights when I forget to take it I hardly get any sleep, I wake up multiple times throughout the night, but when I do get a litlle sleep I have these very strange and vivid dreams, but the strangest part is that in these dream I have this terrible taste in my mouth. The dreams are always different, very strange and vivid, but like I said in all of those dreams I have this AWFUL taste in my mouth. This happens when I don't take Elavil, on nights that I do take it, I sleep fine and I usually don't remember my dreams. What could this mean?

My advice is to talk to your doctor. What you describe is more a physical symptom of drug reactions than a typical night of dreaming.
