When I was in London, several years ago, I found it amusing that the underground (subway) signs say Way Out instead of Exit

No no no, it's your signs that say EXIT instead of WAY OUT

I've had a few conversations with my mum before about why American English is different and how the different American accents have developed away from English and European accents; I think there's some writing in there about that. I love things like this, I've always been into languages and where they come from and how they mix with each other.

Am I that hard to understand that you need a dictionary?
