I had a very odd an unusual dream last night...I was in a horror movie of some sort. All I remember is my friend and I waking up in a movie set, being badly hurt and bloody. I can't remember WHAT made us that way and I would really like to.
I had the dream just last night- so it is still a little fresh.
Any techniques on how I can sort of..."pull" any forgotten details out of my head?

It is more difficult to recall if you wait too long, but of course there are some techniques that usually help me. Is there any picture in you head that is clear? Start with visualizing the picture that is already clear and then try to recall how you ended up there. If you run into "blank spots" don't force your mind, because then your mind will start to fill in and invent stuff that might not have been part of the dream. Just skip from one picture to another and ignore whatever you cannot see clearly. Try to verbalize what you see, like if you were telling a friend. Was there color? Any particular sentiment? Details that stuck in your mind?

The best is often to go through the entire dream in your head the second you wake up. Don't get up, don't open your eyes; just re-run the dream as if you were reviewing a film.
