I know it's been awhile but...
I'm finally back after a long bout of a dreadful affliction, GUFN (Grounded Until Further Notice) by name. I've had a very strange, but very detailed dream. I need a little help on it, it's from four days ago.
As it begins I am in a house that I know to belong to my Aunt, although it looked nothing like its waking counterpart. All I really remember about it is that it was full of light and beauty, decorated with glass ornaments. I knew I wanted out, but for some reason I was afraid of going outside, I did not even look out windows. I whiled away time with my cousin, while my Aunt greeted a string of boyfriends as they came over, though the door was never opened while I was in the room and my Aunt was almost always naked. One day, while I was sitting talking with my cousin, someone came for me. It was at the same time totally unexpected, but also I felt that I was just waiting for the moment she came. She was unfamiliar, and familiar, she felt like she was some sort of mentor to me, and also like a grown version of a forgotten friend. She wanted me to go outside with her, to go somewhere else with her, and for once I didn't feel fear at the thought of outdoors, and so I went with her.
When we went outside, it was the most terrible thing I had ever seen, for horizon to horizon the place seemed caught in the instant of a very large storm, and I half knew that this was what it had always been like. Tornadoes cropped up everywhere, some large, some so small that they simply suspended the people a few feet off the ground. Some lasted seconds, other seemed to never end. The women took me to a place that just felt like some sort of hotel, and in the center there was a large square hole in the ceiling that went to the outside. While the one who had taken me there, and someone who worked for this place talked, very suddenly a tornado came down through the whole, and though it tugged at the women who I knew and didn't know, it disturbed nothing else. I lunged forward to hold the women to the solid ground, and eventually the tornado seemed to give up and went away.
After that I was standing on a dock outside the hotel place, and surrounding me were cages filled with hundreds of otters and seals. But in front of me was a cage that contained two things that looked part otter part seal. The cage was partly submerged in the water, the upper half lifting over my head. One of the otter-seals came up from the water, and for a long while I just stared eye to eye with it, and it seemed like we were comunicating, though I couldn't tell you what was said. There was a hole in the cage at just the right height to touch the creature's head. I was afraid he might bite me, but I reached in and touched it anyhow, and I was glad that instead of moving away or attacking, he leaned into the touch. I turned from him, and on a dock a few feet away was a tornado that was trying to convince me to it, but one step in its direction and I was slammed to the dock by the otter-seal. I forgot the tornado and the otter-seal and I rolled around the dock, playing, and soon after I woke up.
