I just registered for this site just because of this dream. Now up until recently, I would say within the past 6 months I would rarely remember my dreams. Even when I did I believed that they were not meaningful in any way. For the past few months, however, I have the same or similar dream, where my family and I are in a hotel and we go on the elevator and the elevator is always broken. We wait for it to be fixed or it just goes up and down really fast. Sometimes it goes up so fast that our ears begin to pop. Sometimes it goes up so fast that I feel like we are about to break out through the roof of the building, and then I wake up. It does not always end like this, but sometimes I cannot remember how it ends. What does this mean??? I don't remember the last time I had this dream but I would say I have had it about ten times maybe, none since about late December, early January though...

So, you are with your family going up and down and in an enclosed place. This could be a metaphor for your relationship with them. Up and down relating to the emotions. Do you feel "trapped" by your circumstances?

Actually right now I am doing great, but I haven't had this dream in awhile and since I last had it things have changed quite drastically in certain aspects of my life, so it is possible that everything regarding the dream is resolved! At least I'm hoping.
