I'm backstage at a concert hall and there are seats with people facing toward the stage waiting for the show. People are in full formal evening wear--gowns and tux.

I observe a man and woman having a heated discussion. It's about obligations and child care. The man is holding a small female child. I surmise they are married and having an argument.

I walk into the concert hall and discover that the argument is being broadcast through the sound system. The woman is the star, the main attraction, but in what capacity I'm not sure--orchestra conductor? opera singer? She is wearing a microphone and they forget they are being broadcast.

As they continue to argue, people are looking around for the location of voices and I say "They're backstage!" Suddenly, we hear a loud bang. I yell, "That was a gunshot!"

I run backstage and see her lying across the back of the seats (which were like bleachers, only auditorium chairs) with a gunshot wound to her head. I hear, "She's been shot!"

oh my! you know, that dream could be the start of a mystery/thriller!

No doubt.

It could be related to the fact that I had watched a series of videos about good story writing. Guess my brain wanted to write one on its own without my input.
