Dreaming Message Board

It has been a while since I had this dream, but here it goes.

I assume this came into my subconscious because I was reading the Zombie Survival Guide at the time. I was in our school's band room with all of the students in first period band. For some reason, the main door was wide open, and a zombie was moving, I guess you could say, toward the band room. I saw this and immediately told everyone to move to the center of the room. No one listened, as the do in the real world. I looked back, and the zombie was closer, almost inside the band room. So, grabbing the first thing within my reach, swung the music stand around and hit the undead creature with one of the stand's three legs. The leg became lodged in the zombie's skull, and it fell in a heap on the floor. I turn back to warn people, but the words don't come. My best friend is shuffling toward me, arms dangling at his side, eyes white and glazed. I cursed and pulled a .45 Colt out of no where, and then shot him point blank in between the eyes. Bang. One shot. No remorse. As I reflected on this particular instant later, i was a bit unnerved at how easily I had pulled it off.

From that point on the dream gets a little fuzzy. From the band room, i drive to my friend's house, which is roughly five seconds away from our school, and barge into his house. I grabbed some rations from the fridge -- which I do on occasion -- then bumped into his mother. I looked at her sadly and told her that Nick had turned into a zombie and that I had "killed" him. It was the only humane thing to do. (Again, with the .45 Colt that materialized out of nowhere) She looked at me as if it were no big deal. Meh, so I went out to my car and saw this family walking down the sidewalk. I told them about the zombie infestation, and then I woke up, to my extreme displeasure.
