Okay, this dream last night really freaked me out. Can anyone help me with what it means?

I was in the middle of a town, it was a very preppy town, where everyone seems perfect.

The houses were blues and yellows and pinks.....very barbie dollish. Anyways, I was talking to two of my friends, lets call them Mike and Dan (they were both male, and these are people I know in reality).

I don't remember what we were talking about, then all of a sudden I grab this dagger from behind my back and plunge it into the side of Dan's neck.

Then everything turns red......

Next thing you know I'm in a waiting room, but it kind of looks like a car dealership....

Then, this guy walks in, and says he's investigating the murder of a man downtown.

Immediately I feel guilty. He takes about two different people to interrogate and then I eventually feel so guilty it just overwhelms me and I whisper to him that I am guilty.

He takes me to his office in a different building, and I shut the door behind me.

He's sitting at a computer, and I start pacing back and forth, freaking out, I don't even know why I murdered Dan.

He starts asking me things, and for some reason wants everyone to still think I'm innocent. I'm not sure why though, but he wants to help me. He doesn't want me to be guilty....

Then I woke up.
Help please?
This dream really disturbed me....because "Dan" is a friend of mine in reality....and I have no hate for him or anything.

maybe there is no meaning?
