I show up for work at a small building, surrounded by a lawn that is surrounded by trees on the side of a rural road.

I'm told at the front desk to report to the basement. I walk down stairs and I'm in a concrete room that has machines for stitching and sorting mail and boxes. I wonder around, looking for something to do. It dawns on me that I had already missed Monday and it was now Tuesday, but nobody mentions it.

I go to a table where a woman is mending clothing and another woman hands me a piece of light-pink garment that's supposed to be a belt from a dress and tells me to inspect it. I sit down and pull down a ring light and proceed to exam the stitching. Some of the stitching looks rather shoddy, threads not all the same color and some hand sewed in bunches and some machine sewed, but I pass it just the same, not knowing what the guidelines are and assuming the thing will hold anyway.

Then, as I often do in dreams of this nature, I look for a bathroom. And, like most of my other dreams, I have trouble finding a workable one. One bathroom I enter is still under construction. I enter another one, only to find my clothing has been stripped off. Do I exit naked? I think about it when suddenly, not only am I wearing my original clothes, but another layer underneath, a pair of sweatpants and shirt.

I decide to leave for the day, going the same way I came in. I also try to remember whether or not I had another job besides this one.
