First of all he wrote a lot on the mothman prophecies. If you've seen the movie it's pretty freaky, when reminded it's based on true events.

Anyway, one subject he touches on in the paranormal events surrounding the supposed mothman occurrences is unusual telephone incidences. The
colleague of mine that I've been discussing this dream with is an old friend of mine. There was a period of a couple years where he was off at school out of state and we lost contact. I didn't even know his phone number, let alone have it programmed into my phone.

After we got back in touch with each other he told me a story about how maybe 2 years prior he was watching the movie and having an in-depth discussion with his roommate over the theories put forth. At some point that night he received a message on his phone from me. The message began with a minute of static and then broke into a conversation I was having with someone describing the dream, as if I had dialed his number and wasn't aware of it. After my description of the dream, from beginning to end, the message ended and would continually mark itself as 'new' on his phone. Remember, I didn't even know his number at the time. Freaky.

This doesn't help explain the dream at all, but certainly seems to add to it's mystery and personal importance.
