Sorry, I posted this in the Love, Dating, and Relationships forum and then realized that this is where I should post it if I want someone's help to interpret it, so sorry about the double-posting. Any thoughts on it would be much appreciated.

Hey Everyone

For months now my boyfriend has been plagued by dreams of me cheating on him, and him always catching me in the act. The person who I'm cheating with changes all the time. Sometimes it's my boss, his coach, his step-father, my highschool teacher; sometimes it's a whole string of them. I asked him what position it was in, thinking that if it were something degrading like from behind then it might be his subconscious telling him that he thinks that these people don't respect me, but he said it was missionary position. He has also said that in some of the dreams I am laughing at him.

I have never cheated on him, or even been in a situation where it seemed like I did. This is really taking a toll on our relationship because every time he goes to sleep he sees me with other men and he has a hard time getting over that when he wakes up.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what these could mean?

If I knew him personally it would be easier to get an idea of what's going on. On the surface, it sounds like jealousy. Is he the jealous type? If so, maybe you need to move on and get out of the relationship. If it isn't that, then it means he's insecure. How does he feel about himself and his accomplishments? Does he feel inferior to men in authority or peers? The men you are having affairs with in dreams could be his rivals in sports, athletics, academics, etc. It could be he feels he doesn't measure up to them and feels insecure.
