In addition to being a response to a possible physical condition (your having a fever), these dreams could also be about emotions that you have been repressing and don't want to face.
Like other forms of water, snow in dreams is associated with emotions. Because snow is a cold, frozen form of water, snow often represents emotions that have been repressed.
In the first dream, you are afraid of getting close to the edge of a cliff. A cliff can represent a new level of awareness and understanding. The fact that you are afraid to get close to the edge implies that you want to avoid knowing something. The river below you represents your emotions after they have been "unfrozen", that is, after you face the things you have been avoiding. The crumbling building can represent old beliefs that are being destroyed by the thing you have been avoiding.
The second dream seems to mean that you are feeling out of control. Dreaming that you neck is injured can indicate a conflict between your rational and emotional sides. This may explain why you have been repressing your emotions.
Since you woke up shivering even though it was quite warm in your room, it's possible that during the second dream you had a slight fever and were experiencing a chill, which is why you dreamed about snow. It's common to have vivid dreams when you have a fever.
