I had this dream last night that my husband and I were helping my mother pack(who also by the way recently passed) and I looked in the kitchen and saw my Dad getting something to drink. I started kind of freaking out. My husband was trying to ask me what was wrong and I ignored me. I watched Dad turn around and lean against a counter. I asked him a question like what are you doing here and he started to answer when my husband came up to me and asked who are you talking to. I said Dad is right there can't you see him and when I turned back he was gone. In the dream my Mom didn't seem too concerned that I was seeing Dad.

I find the part where you're helping your mom pack interesting. Packing in a dream could symbolize going on a journey. What are your feelings about your parents passing and do you believe they have gone on a journey?

I haven't really planned on any journeys. And I also just learned that my uncle(Dad's brother), who has had bouts with cancer, now has it in his lungs. I have been wondering if he was going to try to tell me about that and tell me he was there to eventually take him with him.

I think the dream could be about your uncle. You are hoping that when he passes your mother and father will be there to guide him. I think your father seeming relaxed, having a drink and leaning against the counter, is a way of your unconscious mind to tell you to be relaxed.

Maybe your husband ignoring you in the dream and not seeing your father. means that you feel that he doesn't understand what you have been going through.
