I have had a similar dream three times now.
It is always extremely dark but there is just enough light for me to see about a foot in front of me.
The first time I was on a couch watching tv and all of a sudden there was a hand coming out of the darkness towards me and I knew someone was there.
The second time I was in a parking garage presumably walking to my car and there was a man coming towards me in the dark and again i could only see his shape but no face or details. I wanted to run and scream but i couldn't make a sound. I felt like I was paralyzed. The third time I was walking into a building late at night and again it was dark and a man walked towards me and the same thing...i could only see an outline and everything is so dark and I was unable to scream.
Each time I have had these dreams I have woken up as a result of them.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could mean?

I have never had such a scary/ recurring dream.

It seems like the unknown man could be a part of yourself that you are afraid to face.
