HI everyone, I hope someone can help me with this, I will try and keep it short. I lost my dad seven years ago and I miss him so much, my mum is very ill with a chronic lung condition and has been really poorly these past few weeks, well the other night I was dreaming about both her and my dad, we were all going out as a family and I went to collect them but they were lying in bed when I got there and my dad looked so well, just like his old self, my mum was lying in the crook of his arm but she just looked like the poor wee frail soul she has become, when I asked them if they were not going out my dad replied no your mum is not well enough hen. That is all I can remember about it, but it really got me thinking and I wondered if my dad was trying to tell me something, thank you so much for reading and I do hope someone can help, xxx

Are you worried about your mother dying of her chronic illness? This may explain the presence of your dad in the dream. It would be really sad for you to lose both of them.

Was his presence in the dream a comfort to you? What do you think he would say to you if he could talk to you in reality?

Hi sweet slumber, thank you for replying. You asked if my dads presence was a comfort to me, I was so pleased to see him but disappointed that we weren't going out as planned. To be honest I think he was trying to tell me not to worry about mum, that I might not have her much longer but that he was there to take care of her now, we nearly lost her a few months ago but she fought back so I not sure what to think. I will be really sad when I don't have her with me but comforted by the thought that she will be where she has truly wanted to be for the past seven years, does that all make sense , Morag.

I think the fact that your father looked so well in the dream can also be a message to you that when it is time for your mother to go, she will be going to a place where she is happy and well.
