Default Dreams with full plot lines

Hmmm, how to start?

I just want to know if people have dreams with full... plot lines? Like, I have to save the Earth in the year 2012, the humans have killed the Earth too much (because Earth is a being), and now the Sun will kill it. ---

And also, I'm often pregnant in dreams, even though I'm fifteen---

And so I was with child, and I had to give five cups of blood to the sun to make it happy. After that, I was sailing in New York on a sailboat (I know how to sail), and I think Matt Lauer might have been there with me. And the world was in some sort of "peace", but not really because I was a part of a gang? And my ex-neighbour was part of a rival gang, and I stopped them from killing him, and then made out with him next to a dais and a bathtub in an old warehouse.

Then I was in some sort of Godlike position, and I had to choose which animals I wanted in the "New World" (if you've played Spore before, it was kinda like terraforming), and my horse was in it, and we were trying to get it away from barn ('we' meaning these random people that I didn't know). THEN two years had passed, and I was on a bus with my child, who I had named Neptune for some reason, and I was asking Neptune what colour the planet Neptune was, and he said blue. And I saw that two seats in front of me and on the left side was my ex-boyfriend, (whom I "pined" for at least nine months after breaking up with) and he smiled at me.

But Rick's in my dreams all the time anyway, even if I don't consciously miss him at all anymore.

So basically, am I just thinking in my dreams, or do they actually have some meaning? In most of my dreams, there's a big antagonist that I have to run from, rarely do I actually fight them, and I'm often pregnant.

And in addition to this, I think I have early signs of schizophrenia, so that could be playing a part in this.

Hi, Yes many people have dreams with full plot lines, like watching long movies - sometimes they even conclude like movies, tying up all the loose ends. I have dreams like that all the time.

I think dreams do mean something, but not in a hocus pocus talking to crystal balls sort of way. I think dreams work in more of a symbolic psychological sort of way, where your dreaming, un/subconscious mind uses familiar images, like icons on a computer, to sort events and possible events into an understandable sequence for your mind to file and process. Our real lives are like stories, with beginnings, middles and ends etc, and story telling (either true stories or made up for fun) is the way humans relate to each other so our dreams are naturally like stories - though sometimes they seem quite bizarre and disjointed like a low budget Hollywood flop.

Anyway, many researches believe that certain things in our lives have certain feeling attached - like babies make us think of being born, the start of our life or the start of a new life... so it is thought that when we dream of having babies, or someone else giving birth, it can represent the emotion/feeling of new starts or being reborn and people often dream of these types of symbols when they are about to make a big change in their life, or want to make a big change. Also there will be dreams of being pregnant if you're a teenaged girl obviously, because your body has just become capable of it so your subconscious sometimes likes to prepare you for the possibility by helping you understand how you might feel about being pregnant.

Things like sailing are said to represent your journey through life, which like being pregnant can symbolize you're going through a transitional stage - moving on to something new, either literally moving from one place to another, or moving on to a different ooutlook and way of thinking about life.

Also when you see other people/characters in dreams, they usually represent different aspects of yourself - even when it's someone else that you know, or somebody famous - such as your confident go getter side might be represented by a close friend who always seems to do well at stuff, or some famous person you admire etc.
