Default Talking to relatives who has passed

I had a dream involving my deceased grandmother, her son (my uncle), his wife was also in the dream (she is still living) and on of her other daughters (who is deceased). The thing I don't understand about the dream is why these relatives were chosen, since I was never close to them. In the dream, I was asked to oversee my grandmother's care and report to my uncle if she was getting good care from her caregivers. The only one who spoke to ones in my dream that actually spoke to me was my uncle, his wife and my aunt. My grandmother never really spoke to me.

For me to go this far for interpetation tells me that it bothers me. Is talking to those who have passed a sign of bad luck or doom

No. These types of dreams are common. I've dreamed of dead relatives who I was never close to either because they lived far away or died when I was little.

It would help to know your age in order to help better with interpretation. The dream may be about family dynamics and your position within the family.

Do you feel like everyone in your family expects things from you? Are you the go-to guy for fixing things, for solving family conflicts, or taking relatives to the doctors? Do you feel it's a thankless job? The silence of your grandmother in the dream could indicate ungratefulness.

Interestingly enough, I am having some problems with my stepson and I do feel that he is ungrateful for the things we do for him. I am not very close to him. That could be it.
