wow, that's I wild dream
There are a few different schools of thought in dream interpretation. I am not qualified to analyze dreams in any way but I have read much on the subject, at least as far as the psychologist Carl Gustav Jung is concerned. But before I attempt an ametuer analysis of your dream I will describe some of the schools of thought behind dream analysis...
1) Direct symbolism: In this school of thought a symbol ALWAYS means one thing, example: a fish always means unwillingness or a lost tooth always means "loss of power". Not a very interesting method, though this is the stuff which inspires those "dream dictionaries" and such
2) Freudean: This is all based on repressive tendencies of the ego, especially in regards to sexuallity. In Freud's view anything remotely resembling a falic symbol represents a penis (like your super-soaker perhaps). Again this method, while better that direct symbolism, is flawed and sometimes laughable.
3) Jungian: A collegue of Freud's, he has the most interesting way of interpreting dreams I've found yet. In his interpretation all other people you meet in your dreams are either complexes (like a mother complex) or aspects of self like ego or archetypal forms. I will attempt a Jungian analysis of your dream, since it seems that no one here really posts replies....
So I will only interpret the areas where I feel confident in my Jungian analysis abilities. The blonde could represent the "unknown woman" which could symbolize your "anima" or your "feminine side". This interpretation makes sense in that you, being male, have distanced yourself from your feminine side-- she is across the state line-- though you still are perhaps somewhat aware of your feminine aspect. (ie. she said that you knew her). In Jungian analysis, when a male has a dream about an "unknown woman" that is always his feminine side. Is any of this accurate? It doesn't have to be... I am really just making an attempt here.
In modern Jungian interpretation a car also represents "the ego" or your self-image. And a group of men could symbolize your masculine side.... a group of men is the "animus" or masculine side. A figure of differing race (ie black) who is of the same gender (ie male) could represent the shadow, or the aspects of yourself that are parts of yourself but you are inclined not to own up to them, thus they are not usually desirable to associate with the ego. Perhaps the black man coming up to "your" car (your clicker works on it!) and claiming ownership, is your dark-half (as I said before your "shadow") having a sort of ego all of its own. Do you have a dark side?
As for the atomic bomb part, I suggest you look up the Jungian concept of pleroma, as it could be the symbol being related here. Also as far a psychology is concerned the last part could concern many complexes. The cigarette (oral fixation) makes sense couple with your childhood home. The oral stage occurs early in life. Perhaps your inner child has survived some disasterous external event. Really because I don't know you I can't really interpret your dream, but maybe you can see for yourself if any of the lines I'm drawing are real or merely incorrect educated guesses. Sorry for any misspellings I have no time to type this.
Peace.
