This is my first post to this site. Hoping someone can help me interpret the dream I had the other night.

In the beginning of the dream, I remember feeling like I had witnessed something I shouldn't have seen. I don't know what it was, and in the dream I couldn't remember either, but it was dark and I remember seeing other people (all men, I think) from a distance and knew something was wrong. Then it changed to my children (ages 2 1/2 and 1) and myself living in an old apartment building. We were the only people living in it and it was about 8 - 10 stories high, we were living on the first floor. It was nighttime and we were in my bedroom watching a movie with someone else. I can't remember who the other person was, whether it was a man or a woman, but it was not my husband. I never really saw their face, but for some reason, I feel like it was a woman and it was someone that I know...maybe my best friend from back home. Anyway, we were all piled on my bed, watching a movie. The t.v. was the only light on. Then I was looking at the building from about a block away...but I was also still in the bedroom, like some kind of 'out-of-body' thing. I heard a bomb go off and saw the top two floors of the building collapse. Then it went back to the bedroom and the other person and I were asking each other what the noise was. The light from the t.v. flashed bright and I saw the walls and ceiling were cracked...they looked like they were going to collapse any second. I said 'something's not right...we need to get out.' I got up and tossed my son's jacket to the other person so he/she could put it on my son. Then I ran to my daughter's room to get her jacket. I was kneeling on the floor searching through piles of clothes for her jacket when I woke up.

I remember knowing that it was not an accident and that someone was trying to hurt me and anyone who was with me because of whatever it was that I had witnessed in the beginning of the dream. I also remember that whatever it was I had seen had something to do with a gang...which is really odd because, as far as I know, I don't know anyone who is associated with a gang in any way.

I tried to look this up in a dream interpretation book, but I couldn't even figure out what to look under. Any ideas what this could mean?

This dream seems like a warning from your unconscious, that your unconscious has picked up clues that something bad might happen. In the dream you have a sense that you have witnessed something you shouldn't (You know something you wish you didn't know), then you feel that something is wrong, then the building collapses.

It might be a good idea to take some time out and think about what is going on in your life and think if there is something you might want to change.
