I had this dream and I was laying in bed and I woke up in the dream and there was this doll hanging on the wall. I got closer to it because it looked weird and unfamiliar. It turned it’s head towards me and then I ran to the door and I couldn’t scream and I knew I had to get the doll and destroy it. So I ran over and grabbed it and ran down the stairs and for the first time in ever I could scream when I was running down the stairs. I was like “mommy, mommy help this doll is possessed.” She saw it move and you was like “ok then we have to kill it” So she poured a can of gasoline on the doll but my cousin said it couldn’t burn like the because it was too light. She ran outside to get a funnel and cement. But she never did come back. Then I ran upstairs and there was a hollowed out lightbulb laying the floor and then it jump on my windowsill and lit up. I ran out of my room again. It seems that I can never scream in my room no matter what happens but I can bang on the door and that seems to be what I always do before I ever open the door and run out. I ran into my mom’s bathroom and locked the door and I guess felt kinda safe. People were parking in our driveway for some family party so I had to do something, I couldn’t stay in there all day. The door open by itself and the cat was standing in the doorway. I guess he learned how to pick locks or something and once I picked him up, he said something in a very low, but mean sounding voice. I dropped him and ran. I ran to my mom in the kitchen and I was like “ mom, mom, mom the light bulb lit up and the cat is talking” and she was like “ ok, but you can’t talk about it in front of my family, they will think you are crazy.” Then I woke up for real and the cat was sitting outside my door.

The most telling thing in the dream to me is the last conversation with your mom and her telling you “ ok, but you can’t talk about it in front of my family, they will think you are crazy.”

Do you get that a lot in your family? Do you feel things you say or do are looked upon as "crazy" or things that they would disprove of?

The hollowed out light bulb that lit up reminds me of the symbol of the light bulb lit up over someone's head to indicate having an idea. Is there an idea you are thinking of, something new you want to try, that you fear your family may not approve of?

Yes and my mom tells me not to talk to the rest of my family about stuff like this because she did and they all thought she was crazy and she doesn't want them to think the same about me. and yes i do feel i believe in things that other people in my family thinks of as crazy and weird.

The light bulb wasn't above my head, it was coming out of the bathroom and chasing me, so i'm guessing someone else's idea....

I had a dream along the same lines, but my mum & dad were away to support my sister at a marathon.

I fell asleep in the living room on the sofa,and there was a DOLL on the wall, i ran. But then a white cat was infront of me, and i said get out get out. And it said No.

I started screaming and then the cat morphed into my dad and everyone started laughing calling me a weirdo.
