My boss told me he had a dream that on Friday I had an accident and totalled my car and then on Tuesday he had to fire me. He did not know why he had to fire me (the dream did not reflect the reason) but that it was something immediate and that had no other recourse.

The main focus of the dream was not the firing, but because I had totalled my car, he had to work with our HR dept (several diff people) to try to get me a cab to take me home.

Any insight into what this means?

That depends on your working relationship with him. Did you do something that other people had to correct? That may be why he dreamed what he did. Or he feels overwhelmed with taking responsibility for others.
