For the past 2 years I have been haveing dreams of dead people that I know and i think many other people know as well. I dont know what it means all I know is that they keep telling me something I can understand what they are saying in my dreams but when I wake up i forget what they are saying. I was wondering if anyone could please response to me and tell me what they mean so I could possibly understand them better

Hi April, It's hard to say what they mean if you can't remember what they said; there's nothing unusual about dreams with people that have died in them, the people that you speak to usually represent certain aspects, often of yourself, based on what you felt about those people when you knew them - what their personality means to you; like if one of them was always supportive to you and gave you advice, dreaming about that person would mean that your unconscious is trying to give you advice; or if the person wasn't nice to you, or you saw them as an authority figure or whatever, then in the dream they will represent that type of figure.


I think in some cases, usually just after death, some people do actually visit us in dreams (if they were loved ones) to tell us they are all right and stuff; but nine times out of ten they are there to represent certain feelings and emotions in our own psyche - your unconscious mind has a database of feelings and associated images that it thinks you will understand, some of them are places; one might be a dog; and others will be people you know, whether they are alive still or not - your unconscious mind doesn't really distinguish between the two, it just knows which emotions are attached to which people in your thoughts and tries to tell you one thing or another. It might not necessarily be an important message, if it is important it will be repeated again and again until you remember it.
