I dreamt the other night that I had a very important function to attend. I waited at a hotel to kill some time and there was a childs birthday party happening. I felt as if I was intruding as I didn't know the people having the party. I looked at the clock and saw that it was time to attend my own function. I went to find my partner and when i did, he had changed his mind about going with me and I felt totally let down. what does this mean?

Do you feel you are in a place where you're not welcome? Or do people around you give you the cold shoulder? Being at the first party uninvited may be a symbol of this. Do you long for acceptance but feel you don't get it, or you dont' get the appreciation or attention you want or need? The second part of the dream could be about this.
